i refuse to use farcaster until we can mute channels. i'm all for the /degen channel having fun, but the fact that speculative behavior and memecoin bullshit has overtaken my entire farcaster experience — even after muting + unfollowing users — is a major L. they have fun at all of our expense. lmk when its live.

I personally wouldn't go as far as to stop using FC but I get the sentiment. I suggested a mute channel functionality a long time ago. Unfollowing people is the current solution but it's definitely suboptimal. People contain multitudes and you don't want to stop following them because you don't like one topic.

spot on — people DO contain multitudes (myself included), and sometimes it is topics i want to opt out of and its often "the current thing". keep suggesting mute function and i bet it will come in some form.
