Video and longer casts are both examples of stuff people ask for and then don't use very often. Ultimately both were worth adding, but stated vs. revealed preference strikes again.

In some cases it can be a UX problem. I don't use video much because I don't like the video player and most videos I want to share are on YouTube or some other platform. It's easier to paste the link than to figure out how to download the video, especially on mobile. Not sure about long casts since I do use them often now. Maybe people are not used to them yet or a better editor UX with more support for drafts and such could help. Product decisions affect user behavior.

@greg and others have claimed that. If the content was novel and compelling, you would. :)

i've literally closed warpcast and opened twitter because of the video player multiple times and skipped videos that i would have otherwise watched

Not necessarily. I've asked people to upload to YouTube because otherwise I just won't watch the video. X has gotten much better now but I would still prefer YouTube especially for longer videos. There's a reason why these platforms keep optimizing the experience. Because it matters if they want people to use them. It's fine if Warpcast doesn't. It doesn't mean that the stated preference is wrong, just that the product isn't satisfying it.

Everything is downstream of content quality. It's why reddit has usage despite the terrible UX
