after years of painstaking research, i have concluded that the margarita is the perfect cocktail, followed closely by the old fashioned

negroni overall, but margarita hard to beat if it’s hot and/or by the ocean

old fashioned is overrated. just drink it neat if it’s good whiskey.

Negroni up there in the list for me as well although I tend to prefer the negroni sbagliato variant since it's a bit smoother.

Martini's are also up there. I'm a fan of dirty vodka martinis with a touch of blue cheese.

Margarita, Rum + Pineapple and Aperol Spritz are great for ocean/pool vibes.
