Why would X change blocking to still show blocked account content on your feed?

Will one need to mute accounts to filter out their content from your feed?

I’m guessing they broke legacy code and something is stopping them from fixing it right now.

My guess:
block - prevent write operations (eg replies)
mute - prevent read operations (eg showing in FYP)

I like this if true

Isn't the change to show content from accounts that have blocked you?

Seems like Musk is hoping to grow engagement from crazy people who get excited by posts from people that blocked them
