I'm tempted to get the Pixel 9 Pro. It reminds me of the iPhone 5. The best designed iPhone IMO.

I skipped 4, went from 3GS to 5.
I liked the 5 so much that the 6 felt like a downgrade to me just in terms of look and feel. Then I switched to Pixel.

iPhone 6 was the most elite for me but tbh the iPhone 4 was the real game changer imo

Agreed, 5 to me is peak iphone design, very sleek, not too small, not too big, fits just right in my hand and pocket, can stand on its own too.
There were even apps that takes 360 photo with the iphone's vibration on its own axis, peak!

I'm running it right now and very happy with it BUT I feel very much on the outside because of things like @receipts and @frens being iPhone only.

Pixel 9 pro is a very very good phone (google phones are always clean with slick software) I’d recommend
