Sometimes I just let Cursor using sonnet or o1 try to figure out what could be causing a bug just by looking at the code and me describing the behavior I'm trying to fix. It has never worked. They still work best for me as auto-complete, stackoverflow and multi-file editors on steroids.

Hmm. I've got it to fix bugs after multiple back and forth with error messages.

Maybe depends on the bug. If there are no error messages and there are just odd UI behaviors that you can only describe then it has no clue. It makes sense since it doesn't get the whole picture and can't do everything itself. For example, the last bug I figure out what was happening by looking at the network. Even after I described it the AI still didn't "think" of a way to fix it. I had to do it myself.
