Real q: when has turning social interactions into financial interactions ever made the social part better?

I can think of 

Referrals as in : 

- URL : referral links  
- IRL : referrals for recruiting 

Then on a more global historic way anything community as in “this minority from city X only transact between themselves” and co-ops

It can be very powerful but not 
The way it is done here. 

It’s clearly not the good way. 

I have personally avoided everything /alfafrens and friends.tech
