over the past couple of days there's been a new element on farcaster that we haven't seen much before: a project attacking another project and its founders to try to bolster its own position i want to be really clear: 1. I will defend Moxie and our team and our track record as serious builders forever and forever with vigor 2. No one needs to tear anyone else down to build yourself up. It may produce near term gains but it wont win in the long term 3. As we've said from day 0, our ambition with Moxie is to be the financial layer of Farcaster in a positive-sum way that enables everyone to win together. We will not rest and we will not waver on that mission.

1. an anon account that nastily attacks me regularly, "betacuck" creates a meme coin to attack moxie 2. my first reaction was definitely: i'd be cautious to trust that guy. that's not a parody account, it's a nasty attack account 3. my responsibility is to the moxie community who were asking us, what is this? is this official moxie? 4. everyone should stay safe out there

1) Betacuck is just a meme account don't take it so seriously. 2) you didn't say be cautious, you suggested he could rug you at any time (irresponsible when you could just say DYOR) 3) Then just say its not official Moxie and leave it at that. 4) Stay safe not stay manipulated. You and a group of the high Moxie earners were spreading misinformation. See number 3, you have a responsibility to either remain impartial, or just say nothing about it, or say DYOR.

there's a reason why @randomerror.eth has 9k followers and @betacuck has 280 one is funny the other is a personal attack also 'could rug you at any time' is a synonym of stay safe / be alert / dyor / nfa 'will rug you at some point' would be a threat

I have only 2k followers aren't I funny? RE: could rug you at any time is absolutely not a synonym of stay safe. DYOR NFA is a synonym of stay safe. What he said means "he will rug you, when he is ready to do so" He used the word rug which is more than indicative of his intentions to misinform.

you're not a parody account so i don't know why you're using yourself as a comparison that sounds like it was open to interpretation and since you were feeling victimised, you read that as an attack as someone who isn't the victim, i read that as a light reminder nuance in language rug is just a colloquial term round these parts - i could say that if i replyked and you didn't replyke back, you rugged me

I don't know why you are using follower metrics at all mate? Followers = quality? followers = funny? I don't know what you mean. You have 1.4k followers, my feelings towards you are very positive due to the past interactions we have had, not the metrics. I agree there is nuance in language, I also believe that If I met someone who's first words were, don't worry I am not gonna murder you. I would feel unsafe by default, as opposed to 'I'm not gonna hurt you' It's veiled aggression mate, word choice is key. I wasn't looking to be a victim I assure you. RE: replyke for replyke or you rugged me, you could say that and we would both laugh because I know you'd be joking, so there is no room for misinterpretation, its different.

follower metrics of parody accounts yes, i'm not discussing follower counts of anything else - you're clearly emotionally invested in this discussion and you're not reading the context but yes, follower count of a parody account is directly correlated to how good it is at parody, what else are you following it for? more parody accounts: @tedsalt 2.1k @dwp 1.1k (dead for 2 months) @dristov 882 my follower count means nothing, nor does yours, so idk why you're still discussing it 'i am not gonna murder you' doesn't provide enough context, that's why we have body language and vocal tone - i'd almost argue a case of the opposite, the word choice doesn't matter, it's the delivery that's everything your last point pretty much just sums up what i said in the paragraph above

But my dude, you are intelligent and eloquent, but if this is to be a discussion you can't keep glossing over obvious points of fact. I am not emotional at all, do I seem so? Perhaps you should take a moment to reconsider. RE: I am not gonna murder you. or, he will probably rug you: We are talking about a cast someone wrote, show me where the body language is? Ok the context I know, Jason was angry at betacuck and emotionally decided to FUD Maxi with zero research done. And that is that!

there is no body language which is exactly why i'm saying nuance in language and there's no need to jump to conclusions imagine asking someone to clarify what their intention was instead of jumping down their throat, what a better world we might actually live in also - i didn't laugh at your attempt to mock but i guess this is why you don't run a parody account
