I like the way I feel after reading a novel.

My inner dialogue is observant and clear. It has words for things and processes things one after the other.

Stark contrast to when I’m  terminally online. I feel comparably distracted, absent, nonlinear and reactive.

What was the novel you read as a tween or teen that twisted you up inside and made you feel years older?

If we take adolescence, then the novel "10,000 leagues under the sea" by Jules Verne made a huge impression on me and the opportunity to feel older than my years.
