i moved to the burbs about a week ago now and i feel like the chaotic inner monologue i had before has meaningfully relaxed. maybe seeing hundreds of people per day, 24/7 backfround noise, police sirens, pollution, etc did have an effect on my base level of sanity.

Definitely had an effect on your sanity. new environment so it will feel like a weird experience. did you later get the passport the other day?
