How can I best help LA people who have been impacted? I just returned yesterday.

donation centers for the most part are maxed out, but there’s still a need for essential items (hygiene products, masks, etc.) right now there’s a lot of need for monetary assistance (direct via GoFundMe or a couple reputable orgs i can share) 9ThirtyLA is an evacuation shelter in Arts District that desperately needs volunteers. they just opened this week: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd0TZq5KEVEF9DScnhmY2nOv9iLVFE8eD-wBanJajom2doKuw/viewform

1. Text friends and tell them you’re thinking of them. Offer specific actions you can take to help (bringing them things, offering to let them stay at your house, etc) 2. Drop off water and snacks at fire departments / ask if they need anything else 3. Take care of yourself in case you need to evacuate or help someone else evacuate
