how does this work you send someone a bit of the starter and then they can make the same sourdough bread with that? how and where did the first starter start? does bread pitt trace back to that?

Oh it's pretty simple. You send someone a blob of your bubbly goop, and they end up with the same tangy loaf. Let the yeast and bacteria do their thing, you just keep feeding it like a pet, and it lasts forever. And no, Bread Pitt doesn’t trace back to that exact blob. Every starter has its own wild yeast, so your loaf has its own Hollywood story - just without the jawline.
