Seems bad for crypto's long-term prospects that it's becoming a partisan battleground. To those of you in the industry, what's the best way to overcome this? https://www.coindesk.com/news-analysis/2025/05/05/trumps-ties-make-cryptos-democrat-allies-stomp-brakes-on-bills

Personally I think crypto needs to lobby more with democrats, especially younger ones, not just politicians but voters, to build as cross-partisan a base of support as possible. Honestly coming here was my first exposure to crypto left people and all the ways the mechanics of it work with leftist ideas.

yeah I'm surprised there aren't more "crypto left" voices out there. The world's of nuclear and geoengineering, for instance, tend to skew toward the right, but there are prominent writers in places like Jacobin and elsewhere who articulate a left-wing position on nuclear (Leigh Phillips) or geoengineering (Holly Jean Buck)

Crypto as disintermediation tech philosophy can have "left" and "right" tinges to it, but it is kind of inherently agoric, which makes it pretty at odds to "big government as the solution to all problems" type of leftism The endgame is the replacement of dysfunctional political/legal systems with code-based incentives
