Nouncil’s rejection of Proposal 675 reflects a misunderstanding of gaming’s diversity. Centralizing all gaming efforts under @esports overlooks the fact that each game has its own unique, often isolated, community. Gamers, who are digitally savvy and always online present a valuable opportunity for Nouns. Casting a wide net across a variety of verticals is useful, but recognizing gaming’s diversity could better onboard dedicated Nouns fans. GL @0xishal I hope you come back once again if your proposal doesn't pass.

How is delegating gaming related funding to gg any different than props coming to nouns? Any game can still propose to gg, except it’s a dedicated group decided what to fund that actually knows what they’re talking about. It’s like proposing to a subset of nouns that understand your vertical deeply

I think you're giving @esports too much credit. I know almost nothing about Mobile Legends and its community (the biggest game in SE Asia). Unfair for us to be the bottleneck for their opportunity imo

Fair, I don’t understand esports really at all, but my impression was that maybe although you don’t know certain games the entire industry might behave at least sort of similarly, so some experience is better than the no experience people like me have

I also think it's worth mentioning that @0xishal is trying to proliferate Nounish culture within his community the best way he feels he is able to. Gaming is an effective tool at bringing people together. Buying a Noun and shipping proposals is a great action to support 🙌
