We reached out to The Graph to propose hosting the Nouns subgraph. They are keen to support Nouns and plan to have their team actively participate in governance, much like Nouns Deli. https://www.nouns.camp/candidates/the-graph-as-the-official-data-provider-for-nouns-97fc8be7a4ac5e0ce074b21000f3afbe83932b47

Surprised you guys are supporting this -- imo we don't need any "official data provider" Ponder is super easy to set up and it's rather cheap since nouns events are pretty rare and theres not much to index. People should be able to chose the data provider they want to use -- should projects not currently using the graph be expected to rewrite code to take advantage of this offering? I don't really see this as a strong _need_

Agree might not be a strong need, not sure what the DAOs appetite for this is, but we reached out to create a competing proposal against Goldsky's which we felt was asking too much. This doesn't stop people from choosing their own data provider. Anyone already using the official Nouns subgraph (in the monorepo) can change to The Graph decentralized deployment by just changing the url endpoint (which is true today). No need to rewrite any code. If we don't fund Goldsky, all apps using it will need to make this change anyways. More in the thread here: https://warpcast.com/spencerperkins.eth/0x1f9bb990
