Is there a reasons that produce is so much worse in America compared with Europe? When I’m in the U.S. eating a tomato tastes like nothing and you just have to use your imagination whereas anywhere around the Mediterranean it tastes like having a psychedelic experience.

In North America, fruits and vegetables are shipped too far. Harvested before they’re ripe. Sometimes dyed or pumped up with water. You have to eat local, in-season stuff or else it’s pretty gross. I don’t eat tomatoes because they taste of nothing at all.
