I have the same issues and being a nomad doesn’t help. What has been helpful is, cutting coffee after 15. Also hot/cold/hot shower before going to bed. Taking magnesium and meditation does seem to help, but not 100% certain. Need more time to experiment.

When you say you ‘let it happen’ do you mean in the sense you let your mind wonder. Or in a more meditative sense where you disengage from the activity mentally and leave it be?

had the same problems for almost all my adult life. don't have them now. what helped: fixing my septum, building a habit of nose breathing, magnesium + ashwaganda before sleep. now 95% of nights i sleep for 7-8 hours straight vs. 3-5% before.

Thanks! I’m also working on my sleep since a couple of weeks ago. I can stay in bed for more than an hour before falling asleep. So far I've discovered that noise is one of my issues, so I got myself noise cancelling earplugs.
