Nouns need a full-time team of vetted executors and operators committed to building, organizing, and completing work. This isn't a criticism of anyone within Nouns, but in my eight months here, I haven't encountered anyone in the community with the real-world operational experience or capacity to take on this role effectively—or who wants to.

Outside of the website/content/social dilemma and where things should live, we also need stronger support and onboarding for current and new holders. Proposals require more thorough vetting, management, and maintenance to ensure they have the best chance of success. Once a proposal passes, a dedicated team should guide it and maximize its potential. 

We have more than enough talent within Nouns to organize these teams and hire new folks within our community for specific projects, which is the current mission of /cares.

Interesting that you interpreted nouncil as a service to mean “bringing in experts” 

My interpretation is protocolizing nouncil to anyone can spin up something like nouncil with parameterized voting rules

I think you’re missing the parallel I’m drawing here. Whether or not we fully embrace the concept of Nouncil as a service (or an alternative full-time structure), what Nouns really needs to thrive is consistent, full-time leadership and structure. 

Without that level of support, the potential of the project can’t be fully realized. It’s not just about setting up processes like Nouncil, but about ensuring there’s sustained leadership to keep things moving forward.

you have the power to permissionlessly implement your vision here -- just go ahead and be/do that -- but youre unlikely to get any form of defined roles and consensus around this idea just talking about it

I am not looking for a role or consensus - I will continue to do the work in the background. In the meantime, I’ll continue to acknowledge these moments when there is force (and call-outs) for Nouns to level up, whether we like it or not. I'm just here to remind folks where we're inevitably heading.
