I think @dwr.eth has a point. I witnessed the Damus Nostr client disabling its tipping / zapping feature because of App Store rules a while back.

Was the reason why Damus had to disable zapping on iOS not the same thing?

Damus has zapping on iOS again so Im guessing they fixed their issue.
