thoughts on books by Cal Newport? From the book descriptions I've read it looks interesting, but he has written a lot of books which all sound kind of about the same thing. Haven't read any of his books, but listened to him on Huberman a while back and he sounded legit on there

I read deep work. It was a mixed bag for me. Some of the advice he gave made sense while the other half of the advice seemed to hinder progress for me. for example - he says that temporary dopamine detoxes don't help, things need to be cut permanently. I have personally found temporary detox useful.
