When I was 15 I was obsessed with LotR and upon discovering The Silmarillion I read it 23 times (yes, you read that right) in one Summer.

I would've been a good candidate to be the Lord of the Nerds back then, but I've forgotten most things.

And some things that should not have been forgotten were lost. History became legend. Legend became myth. And for two and a half thousand years, the ring﻿ passed out of all knowledge.
