All of my wife’s friends seem fanatically pro “air fryer”. Does anyone have one and if so, what’s the big deal?

I appreciate the honest take. And yeah I’m not one for shortcuts in the kitchen. But so many folks seem adamant about the air fryer. Thermomix-level adamant. It’s quite baffling.

I’m bearish. As I see it, it’s a quick and convenient oven, but doesn’t cook everything well. cf My mums Christmas Day roast potatoes. (Though weirdly the sweet potatoes were great)

It's a mini-oven that's quicker & easier to clean. Just more convenient for a broad set of dishes.
