Gardening by far is the most expensive hobby I ever taken up. That being said I’m having the most fun being outside despite this summers heat. It’s truly incredible to see the resilience of the different plants growing in 100+ Fahrenheit temps. Passion fruit is recovering and was in our “plant ICU” for a few days. But it’s bouncing back.

Great to hear that it sounds like you're enjoying your new (expensive) hobby! Though the initial landscaping/setup costs are higher, once things start going you won't need to keep spending that much year on year. Glad to see the aubergine doing well, and the passion fruit out of ICU! What happened to it? 20 $DEGEN

Don’t panic Arfy but I uhhhhh forgot to feed it during the beginning of fruiting for like 3 months and….the soil hasn’t been amended for well over a year and a half 🤡 I may or may not have forgotten about it. BUT! I made my amends and put the plant in a spot that I can see everyday now. Full undivided attention 😂

Awwwwwwwwwwwot! 😹 No worries, plants are robust things, and they generally can bounce back. An easy way to improve soil is simply to add a few cms of fresh compost straight to the top of the pots! Let the watering/worms/etc do their thing, and they will draw the nutrients and compost down. Glad to here it's in a more visible spot--we have a lot of plants and I must admit the same happens here with some that are regularly forgotten!
