So much respect to Hardhat for being early innovators… but the developer experience truly dreadful after using Foundry for so long There’s just something about how it overrides everything in very unintuitive ways, general JavaScript mayhem, plus mapping all of it onto Solidity. RIP

I’ve had no complaints whatsoever with Hardhat. But I also have never used Foundry. I was slow to move from Truffle to Hardhat and I’m sure I’ll be slow to move from Hardhat to anything else.

My anecdotal experience: it’s totally fine. Foundry is solid too, but I’ve had basically no issues with Hardhat.

It is in my to-do list to try it. There's also a python option that I don't remember now (it is not vyper) and I want to test it as well.

i have also recently moved to hardhat and found it difficult in the beginning, chose the classic ethers over the version provided by hardhat. after you figure your way around, i think it is solid too. foundry is more technical but maybe more powerful
