I'll say the awkward part out loud. A lot of the Solidity community leaving for Vyper has been a big detriment to Solidity's public narratives and to an extent, price as well. Hate on this take all you want but it's true.

language is designed for simplicity and security compiler generates very efficient bytecode compiler is simple but hackable with a powerful IR good integration with Python and pythonic tools @big-tech-sux is very smart (The official homepage makes a pretty good case: https://vyperlang.org/)

No dynamic length bytes type has blocked me from moving every time I've written any contract. Lots of the Vyper tooling is great though.

I have a function that takes "bytes calldata stuffForBalancerV2_flashloan" as an argument. I was talking with a dev who was implementing his own flash lender and his code took `bytes[10000] calldata extraData`. So many wasted zero bytes
