Harris has said higher taxes will pay for the expenses she has in mind but I don’t think anyone really thinks higher tax legislation will pass Same as how no one really believes other countries will pay the Trump tariffs So I’m not sure if that letter or CNN add net new info

Asking if the policies help or harm is different than asking if the policies will pass. Rs refuse to vote for anything the Ds put forward. Bipartisanship is dead

It seems the choice is between a Trump policy of protectionism that will definitely be bad for everyone (see the study posted earlier) and a Harris policy that will probably not pass in the gridlock of Congress. Neither is a good choice, but one is clearly bad and the other is status quo
