I donât expect Merkle to misuse data, but itâs always smart to be cautious when sharing personal info or participating in campaigns that push for more public exposure. They are a centralized incorporated company in the US. Linking wallets with Twitter and phone numbers doesnât seem like the safest choice, at least not without zk technology. The risk of data leaks is always there, and the stakes are especially high when youâre tying your crypto holdings to personally identifiable information. That kind of exposure could pose serious security threats. Letâs not forget Googleâs old motto. Btw, Varun did mention that phone numbers will stay private FOR NOW (which makes me wonder what does âfor nowâ actually means)

This is actually a very thoughtful and salient point - didnât think twice but in the context of crypto⊠stealing and bad stuff happen :( Zk and TEE is probably the right answer for everything đ«
