Might be a hot take, but it’s a bit annoying to see specialists have takes on things that they don’t encounter and deal with on a daily basis. An orthopedic surgeon having an opinion on LDL levels is like a car mechanic having an opinion on the wing tip design of a plane. The only time they’ve ever seen a patient with high LDL is on the USMLE practice test review book. Just understanding mechanisms doesn’t mean you know what real life practice is like.
