One of my favorite things about Japan is cherry blossoms, but did you know you can see them twice a year? Fuyuzakura (winter sakura) are varieties that also bloom in the fall/winter and are a special treat because they are rare. It makes it even better when you stumble across one! Taken in Hakone, December 2024.

These are not winter blossomsβ¦.they arenβt this fluffy. This looks like a variety of spring ones but there are 50 major ones! These look like Kanzan at first glance. They are very very pink and grow in clusters! I love them.
