The distinction he makes here is important: โ€œa blowout launch.โ€ That's quite different from a soft release to a handful of early users as you refine the product.

This is an interesting take for consumer products On the other hand I think builders should aim for feedback as early as possible to not waste time on building the wrong thing

I think this isnโ€™t narrowly defined enough, there are probably certain sectors where first impressions matter more (such as Crypto data platforms) but I donโ€™t think this is wholistic

That doesn't just go for consumer products. Goes for enterprise products as well. If you ship garbage - don't expect to be able to keep coming back to that customer with new releases. Evaluating your trash product has a cost, and most corporate buyers will own pay it once.
