Two main learnings from working as an engineer in three different product startups for about 4.5 years in crypto before joining Wormhole, that I tell to any builders I am talking to are: 1. If you're not embarrassed by the first version of your product, you've launched too late (Reid Hoffman) 2. Don't overengineer the backend without spending enough time on the UI. Ideally have a full-time UI/UX engineer/designer in the team as quickly as possible, who is only focusing on user experience. tldr: Feedback from the right users is everything.

What do Wormhole Queries (cross-chain state reads product) offer over an RPC service? Wormhole Queries provide on-demand, attested, on-chain verifiable RPC results. Each guardian independently executes the specified query and returns the result and their signature. A Proxy (an off-chain process that validates the request and forwards it to the guardians via a gossip network) handles aggregating the results and signatures, giving you a single result (all within one REST call) with a quorum of signatures suitable for on-chain submission, parsing, and verification using one of Wormhole's examples or SDKs. Credits: @wormhole_labs engineer that is busy shipping. If you would like to learn more, check out: https://docs.wormhole.com/wormhole/queries/overview or please reach out to me directly.

I am looking to better understand the experiences of devs who have interacted with Wormhole outside of hackathons or institutional integrations. If you are such a developer, please get in touch 🙏

I'm really proud that ethereum does not have any culture of trying to prevent people from speaking their minds, even when they have very negative feelings toward major things in the protocol or ecosystem. Some wave the ideal of "open discourse" as a flag, some take it seriously.

What in the EVM world would you work on if you had a hackathon from today until Sunday? What excites you, yet you don't have time to work on every day?

Just completed a swap on Base for $0.07 and a send for $0.0016. Centralized sequencers and instant upgradeable contracts still suck, but the adoption of Tron and BNB indicates that many users are not overly concerned with centralization issues. L2s might be ready for retail for the first time ever 🔥

This is great advice, thank you! I already found this part in the foundry book https://book.getfoundry.sh/forge/advanced-testing where they describe fuzz & invariant testing.

I wish our culture was better at honestly expressing our level of uncertainty, and being okay and encouraging of other people doing the same. Having widely-understood ways to say "based on what I know now, I think X, but this is a preliminary opinion and I am super-willing to adjust based on new arguments or evidence".

From Ukraine last year, to Nagorno-Karabakh last month and now Israel, it really does feel like there's a trend of people becoming more comfortable with using large-scale unilateral violence to solve problems. That trend itself greatly worries me; each instance normalizes and legitimizes the next.

Is there a flight search platform where you can search for cheapest flights where layovers can be more than 24 hours? For example, I am in city A right now and need to get to city B anytime in the next 10 days, and I don't mind staying in any connecting city for a few days

They will be dropping the first docs today. However, I did not expect this post from a month ago to be the only discussion or mention of Monad on Warpcast. I am super excited about Monad. Finally a realistic solution to scale the EVM in the short term without relying on centralised sequencers.
