Has Singapore food arrived into main stream? This is one challenge that I am facing, when I make youtube channels of Singapore Food , it doesn’t has much click as compared to Thai. Why do you think that is?  Have you ever tried or are you interested in learning more about Singaporean food?"

Singapore chicken rice is indeed better. The way we poach the chicken is super juicy. Oh so you never heard of Singapore chilli crab, laksa and such? This is good insights as I always thought people know these food already. And the Singapore tourism had a call with me before and they were wondering why Singapore food is not known.

I've heard Singaporean chicken and rice is better than Thai style; but I've never had it so idk. 

I think Thailand just has brand recognition and good marketing

Singapore just needs the same. Like Thai has signature dishes, pad Thai and som thumb. Signapore needs a couple of those 👍

I am curious What did you eat and where did you have that bad Singapore bad experience?  
Singapore is such a multicultural and diverse country, we grow up with Indian food, Malay food, different dialects of Chinese food such as Cantonese, hokkien, Hakka, Hainan, teochew. I think that is why we can’t decide what to put as a national food 😂 Hall mark of comfort food is different as a Cantonese household cooks differently from a Hokkien household.

Had it once, and had a bad experience. I never tried it since simply because comfort and availability prevail (I live in the US). 

With that said, What are some generally Appealing / Easy recipes? What are "hallmark singoporean Comfort foods"? You know... the stuff most people can't deny
