The active badge is going away.

Spammy accounts are aggressively gaming the system to get the badge. 
Making the rules stricter just makes it harder for legitimate users.

We’re past the point where a simple rule based system will work. We need something better.

It's honestly hard for me to believe that 'power users interactions' are factored in at all. All this does is further entrench people who heard about and joined farcaster earliest and allow them to become more and more segmented from the entire rest of the platform's users. Gate keeping upon gate keeping.

This. While decentralized tech removes some barriers, it creates and accelerates others. As more users join the platform, if it’s structured like this, inequity will actually grow overtime (nepotism, baby).

What incentives could fix it? I think this is a discussion worth having.
