Spammy accounts are aggressively gaming the system to get the badge. 
Making the rules stricter just makes it harder for legitimate users.

We’re past the point where a simple rule based system will work. We need something better.

I don't want to come across as entitled or whiny, but I'm a little disappointed and surprised I didn't get the badge. Judging by the criteria in that article, it seems like I should definitely have it... unless some existing power user got mad at something I said and decided to report me for being "spammy". 🤷

We realized casting(posting )as a new user is like posting in the void because the casts won't be visible to other power users, so we took the commenting approach.
