But I would argue there is a distinction between not dying and living to the full—the former does not necessarily imply the latter. 

In fact (while I agree with you longevity is a worthy pursuit) I wonder to what extent increasing life/health spans may be squandered on pursuits that diminish “quality” or the extent to which longer-living humans will choose to experience the fullness of life?
