I wonder if finding a way to include Web3 eco-credits in green bonds issued by reputable legacy finance players (eg HKMA, whose green bond offerings have consistently been oversubscribed), using the logic that blockchain-based MRV systems are more transparent, this might alleviate risk and increase participation.

It will probably have to come to that. We're just not so sure blockchain-based MRV systems can produce inherently better credits in practice (in theory, they absolutely can, of course). We'd even go as far as to say we need to move away from blockchain as a selling point for native on-chain eco credits.
