Collaboration is a big part of ReFi. But are we over-partnering and under-delivering? https://paragraph.xyz/@carboncopy/is-there-such-thing-as-too-much-collaboration

We are delighted to be in the @glodollar x @optimism Builders round on @gitcoin! We keep a good chunk of our current treasury in USDGLO and think everyone else should do the same to support public goods! If you have some funds to spare, we'd appreciate some love. ๐Ÿ’š https://explorer.gitcoin.co/#/round/10/96/10

LATEST: AYOWECCA Uganda to receive 5 ETH from Public Nouns for tree planting. On January 12, 2024, AYOWECCA Uganda submitted a proposal on Public Nouns, requesting a grant of 5 ETH to plant fruit trees at 70 schools, 40 health centres, and 40 churches in the Tororo District of Uganda throughout 2025. Why is this initiative important? According to the proposal, Uganda loses approximately 200,000 hectares of forest annually, and current restoration efforts fall far short of addressing the scale of destruction. How did Public Noun holders react? 42 Public Nouns holders have voted in favour of the proposal, with none abstaining or voting against it. The success of this proposal is a massive win towards forest restoration efforts in Uganda and we can't wait to see the impact. https://publicnouns.wtf/vote/63

LATEST: ReFi Japan Discontinues Newsletter Due to Limited ReFi Information Since 2022, ReFi Japan has consistently published its newsletter, providing valuable updates to its audience. Unfortunately, the latest issue marks the end of this journey as ReFi Japan announces the discontinuation of its newsletter. Why did this happen? According to the newsletter, the lack of useful ReFi information has always made it difficult for the ReFi Japan time to send out the newsletter timely. Furthermore, the ReFi Japan management members have become busy with their work and projects, leaving no time for ReFi information dissemination. What next? Climanews from Klima Japan will be taking over with updates on climate change, SDGs, and ReFi. https://www.refijapan.com/p/refi

Last month, Lagos State in Nigeria announced that a ban on single-use plastics, among other things, would go into effect in January 2025. Our @trinitymorphy took a closer look at the ban and whether it's the right way forward for a state (and country) drowning in waste. https://carboncopy.news/features/what-lagos-state-plastic-ban-tells-us-about-waste-nigeria/
