I was going to comment, I’m only here for the comments… My thirties were pretty much dedicated to two things - the farm and family, with a complete acceptance of missing other threads in life. Think I’m glad I didn’t use a cell phone til 3-4 years ago, aka after the kids were older, not sure the “distraction” capacity would have been worth the trade off in my life - lucky to not need one for work etc. So I guess advice > being okay missing out and diving so deep into the career and or family that you get bit lopsided in the balance department. Both demands are well well worth the investment. Also, became much better as saying no to professional invitations, boardwork, and community education; a “pause” to direct enough energy to the family after the initial focus on the farm…
