There’s a lot of hate in the community of people who studied physics towards accomplished business leaders who express interest in physics.

I suspect it originates from some form of jealousy and pearl clutching over “qualifications”.

I never really noticed this but now that I think about it, I've been in a few situations in my old professional life where people have said they studied physics, then during the conversation I realize they mean they took Physics I as part of the standard STEM track. 

I only did undergrad so its not like I can call out some kind of stolen valor here, but its just bizarre considering the entire population looked at you like you had 2 heads if you actually studied it between 2000-2010 thinking you were dumb for not studying a business degree.
