There is so much potential in decentralized tech. It is extremely cool that people can build apps, deploy them permissionlessly, and have them end up becoming lego bricks in a new financial system.

More generally, I believe that siloed systems - asset ledgers siloed inside individual banks; property being siloed inside individual government ledgers - create inefficiencies. Siloed systems allow the silo maintainers to gate transfers and maybe even seize assets. If we can push everything down to a shared, credibly neutral layer, there will be huge impacts on society, especially on emerging markets that currently suffer from low trust. It will have a huge leveling-up effect.

I want to see things done well and I see so many areas where we can improve as an industry. I love being part of a team and community where we are chipping away every day to improve the quality of resources, products, and opportunities in the space.

I’m a founder of a zkTLS company. We need people to build consumer apps ontop of us for us to succeed.

One concerning pattern I’ve noticed amongst infra/chains is they unconsciously design their product to commoditize the app layer.

This is absolutely wild to me because consumer app founders are the scarce resource, not block space.

Would be curious to hear your view on how Monad should align incentives with builders.

The app should also be able to capture enough value and have enough defensibility where it makes sense to be able dedicate full time efforts to.

Otherwise you’re limited to useful apps that are part time or side projects.

How many great apps have you seen that have very limited upside potential?

The only thing that matters is whether or not an app does something that people want or need. The infra/chains used (including zkTLS) is irrelevant.
