posit: intelligence is better measured by happiness

As much as I love this, I’ve not found it to be true so far.

Some of the most intelligent people I’ve met have often been the least happy.

They’re often critical and unsatisfied with things around them.

why the original statement is somewhat provocative:

shouldn't intelligence mean the ability to find or create a situation that results in happiness?

intelligence + 

the ability to find or create a situation that results in happiness for yourself, your kin, and the village too.
