What is the drawback of using weighted voting in elections? Seems like it would solve a lot of issues in that the person elected would be the most favored by the biggest majority vs the most liked by 51% and most hated by 49%. We would have moderates who get stuff done instead of being stuck in party line tug of war.

I think ranked choice solves a lot of this.
