My favorite fermi paradox solution was encryption. Good encryption would be indistinguishable from background noise. Good evidence that weโ€™re alone in our region of the galaxy is compton scattering and other relativistic effects: as you approach light speed travel, youโ€™ll start generating a wake of light as the cosmic microwave background radiation gains energy relative to your velocity.
