yesterday I found out that nextjs v13+ indefinitely caches native fetch requests in server actions by default and I implemented a server side TTL cache without knowing it did that, kept thinking it was my code

why is fetch not just fetch

they've regretted that and reverted this default behaviour in nextjs 15+.
that was awful.
