@pushix @stevedylandev.eth Curious if you guys have had a chance to compare ZedAI with Cursor. I know you both don't love the weight of VS Code style editors but curious if ZedAI feels like it keeps pace with Cursor's productivity gains

Can't say I can speak to it much since I haven't used Cursor yet, but that's primarily because I value editor performance and efficiency over AI capabilities. I use the AI stuff in Zed from time to time and it works just like I want it to; I ask it a question like I might as a question to another dev after I've exhausted all my other options, and it does a great job. In spots where I want to automate more, like writing a unit test, the context feature in Zed AI is awesome. But yeah if you happen to read the blog post on my site you'll probably gather that having a well integrated vim mode is way more important to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It does not. They have the basics, but it doesn’t feel there yet. They do some things well, the / commands are quite good for example, but they don’t have enough “auto context” magic, and the inline assist doesn’t do multi line diffs well at all. Cursors cmd + k inline is really good, like full of little details good
