on a scale of mean to genius what do you think of setting a timer every 30 min and placing it in a separate room where you can still hear it so you're forced to get up at least every 30 min and drink water, stretch, have a snack, etc would you get super annoyed by the beeping every 30 min or would you feel 100x better anyway bc you're hydrated and well fed

Maybe this is just me but I'd get nothing done honestly I usually need to be in an uninterrupted flow state when working, especially when solving hard technical problems (which ends up being most of my day at this point) Even having meetings 1-2 hours out kills some of my productivity

yeah I can agree with that too, flow states/hyperfixating is a super power of ours for sure :) but i can also get into a phase where for weeks i am locked and forget to drink water/feed my self consistently - does that happen to you? (that’s when i’d be using this i think)

I used to be more like that and being WFH doesn’t help Nowadays I try to keep things as routine as possible so it’s sustainable I have a set lunch/dinner time I try to stick to as well as one of those big water bottles next to me at all times so I don’t have to refill it often It’s helped me quite a bit tbh
