in terms of design, i do like the resume layout of read.cv (see read.cv/epr), but i'm not familiar enough with it's other features to say it can replace LinkedIn. that said, if something like that did exist... i'd be an early adopter.

read.cv is great. It's a supported account type on icebreaker so you can have multiple different profiles that link to different versions of your CV
