regular people just want to know apps work. and by all accounts, threads not only works. it works well. regardless of where they borrowed? stole? their ideas from. they went for LCD. will move their IG audience there. and then iterate. it's here to stay.

I agree with this. I want it to stay too, even though the product isn't for me and I don't use it (yet).

My hunch is it will stick with the younger half of Gen z crowd, who may have missed the twitter train.

i'm seeing a lot of artists (of the Gen X variety) who reluctantly used twitter now using threads. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m cheering for them. A “fresh” alternative is appealing, and it is fun/nostalgic to start a new social. Cross posting to all platforms makes sense strategically. You have a point! Some of them I’d like to personally invite here when the time is right.
