Coke Zero tastes closer to regular coke, and Diet Coke tastes like Diet Coke. I think the tale is apocryphal, but it's said they tried changing Diet Coke to Coke Zero, and people lost their minds because they like the taste of Diet Coke. Hence, two low cal colas.
