what are the most important parts to decentralize?

what is the big problem we are trying to solve with decentralizing compute specific to ai though? outside of downtime, which is a UX related problem

Hmm, I believe compute is quite important, but truly decentralizing it is challenging. I'm pretty sure that most people who contributed A100s and such to DEPIN projects are actually doing so through a centralized cloud service.

I think deployment/inference is a natural starting point.

One of the more straightforward parts of the ML lifecycle, some real applications  today, and would let decentralized systems start to use AI in meaningful way (without breaking their trust model)
